  ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Group 2.080 PUMP ASSEMBLY, Water Part # 3205620 superceded by
  3206992 superceded by 8120131 Interchange: '65 American w/199 or
  232; '72-74 Jeep (w/SIX) (This cross-reference of 8120131 confirms
what we suspected.) Group 2.003 PULLEY, Fan Part # 3176815
  Interchange: '65 American w/199 or 232; '72-74 Jeep (w/SIX) (Note
that the book does not specify Jeep CJ here...this would seem to
indicate that any '72-74 Jeep with the 232 would have this pulley.)
  Group 2.002 BLADES, Fan Part # 3178785 (6 Blade) Interchange: '65
American w/199 or 232 (Unfortunately, this is the only interchange
I have found. That being said, other 'flat fans' should work with a
proper spacer. The Jeep book mentions spacers of 1" as well as 5/8"
(w/HD Cooling) being used on the '72-74 Jeeps.) Alfred Koos Alamo

  AMC/Jeep Part # 3205620 (superceded by 3206992 superceded by
  8120131) Interchange: '65 American w/199 or 232 '65-74 Jeep (All
models w/AMC 232 or 258 SIX) (The Jeep book verifies that 3205620
was used from '65-67; 3206992 was used from '68-70; 8120131 was
used from '71-74. 6992 is noted as being a direct replacement for
5620, but 0131 does not have a similar interchange note. This may
be due to a different angle on the water neck as speculated.) Group
  2.003 PULLEY, Fan Part # 3176815 Interchange: '65 American w/199 or
  232 '65-72 Jeep (All models w/AMC 232 or 258 SIX; w/o HD Cooling)
'73-74 Jeep (All models w/AMC SIX) (This opens up the Interchange
[and chances of finding one in an old Wagoneer or truck] quite a
bit. It is also interesting to note that a 'Heavy Duty Cooling
version' for the '65-72 Jeeps carries a Kaiser part number:
  942252.) Group 2.002 BLADES, Fan Part # 3178785 (6 Blade)
Interchange: '65 American w/199 or 232 (Unfortunately, this is
still the only interchange I have found; the older Jeeps all have
Kaiser numbered fans. That being said, other 'flat fans' should
work with a proper spacer. The Jeep book mentions spacers of 1" as
well as 5/8" (w/HD Cooling) being used on the '72-74 Jeeps.) Alfred
